Happy Harvest!

Happy Harvest!
I know it's been too long since I have posted. Since school started, we have found that it's impossible to get done everything we want/need to. It's hard to be a perfect housewife, student, employee, and well-rounded being all in one! If you couldn't tell, I am a pretty bad family fun documenter (I know that's not a real word). For the first 5 months of our marriage, I either forgot to bring my camera anywhere, or forgot to replace the batteries. However, I did manage to remember a fully charged camera in our Halloween celebrations. Last week Lon and I had fun being in charge of our ward Halloween party. We had a great committee to help make it a successful activity.

Here we are carving our cute pumpkin. See my man at work. He's so focused!

Lon is so sweet. He does all the dishes. I occasionally help. See! I am not a good housewife! I do cook dinner and pack him lunches. Lon is always willing to help.

Here is a scary self-taken picture. I am an Alto I section leader in BYU's Women's Chorus. This year we have had a concert every month. I think this was for BYU's Homecoming Spectacular.
Lon and I were Peter Pan and Wendy for Halloween. We created our costumes with clothes from D.I. And yes, I am wearing a little girl's nightgown.
This fall, I have been baking up a storm. Which may or may not be a good thing, because Lon eats one or two servings and I eat the rest. Poor Lon. Last Sunday I made pumpkin cookies. Yummy! Sadly, I finished off the last two yesterday. Lon and I also made these cookies, we like to call "Little Ghosties". I think they are really called Chocolate Turtle Cookies. They are made in a waffle iron! The icing is a cream cheese frosting. They are super easy to make and soooo tasty!

One Month

Hello family and friends! Since Lon and I are our own little family, I decided it was time to start a blog. Lon and I have been married a full month now. It's hard to believe! Since marriage, I've noticed many improvements in different areas of my life:
  • I have a constant companion and friend.
  • I kneel every time I personally pray.
  • I have a more coherent scripture study.
  • I'm learning to share and think of his needs over mine.
  • I can now fry and flip eggs very well.
  • I made my first loaf of home made 100% whole wheat bread (without the help of a bread maker).
  • I'm getting better at making dinner.
  • Lon and I started to run/walk around the temple.
  • I'm getting better at driving our Acura and am starting to know the street names in Provo.
There are probably more, but you get the idea. I'm happy!
